It’s now common for businesses using Sage accounts software to outsource warehousing and fulfilment to 3PLs. As a 3PL when you make Protronics your Sage integration partner:
- You add an experienced, competent Sage integration specialist to the services you offer your current or potential clients
- We take the problem of integration away from you, overcoming the technical and process challenges wherever they originate.
- There’s usually no cost to you as we prefer, with your agreement, to work directly for your client
Familiar with 3PLs
We’re familiar with the challenges that 3PLs face, whether they are internal such as:
- Changing from a pallet storage to pick, pack, despatch business model
- Ensuring efficient picking and replenishment
- Handling the consequences of running at above optimum capacity
- Warehouse management software (WMS) which roughly rather than perfectly fits your business
Or customer (or their suppliers) related, such as:
- Assuming that outsourcing can solve what are really internal process problems
- Products arriving without first being setup as new products
- Unannounced changes in barcoding or quantity per carton
- Frustration that stock levels recorded in their accounts software drift from those recorded in your WMS
Familiar with your (Sage using) clients
Protronics’ focus is on businesses running Sage 50 and Sage 200. This means your clients will quickly gain confidence in us, and our ability to solve problems for them. We help:
- Design robust processes, for example to fully reflect the range and detail of how sales orders flow into and through
- Manage change, whether by providing training or having the tough discussion about limiting project scope to reflect their organisation’s current capabilities
- Create reports, that reflect the factors that determine how successful they are
all with the aim of making them better able to command their business.
Familiar with warehouse management software
Our existing 3PL partners run warehouse management software from a range of vendors (including the likes of Calidus and Snapfulfil). We :
- Understand how, compared to the stock and warehouse features in Sage 50 and 200, they have (very) different capabilities and aim to overcome very different business challenges
- Have experience with working with their integration documentation good, and not so good
- Have some understanding of the specific advantages and limitations of each and how this affects their 3PL users

There are no costs or barriers to working with us a partner. We prefer to visit you in advance of the first project so that we understand: the type of clients you service; your strengths and challenges; and the integration capabilities of your WMS.
